Takeaways
This work is a firstly a documentation of all the takeaways in the CT6 postcode area where I live, but perhaps more pertinently a comment upon how the process of the takeaway has changed. I fondly remember as a child the takeaway, typically fish and chips, being a rare treat. We formed part of a lengthy queue in a hot shop, waiting (im)patiently for our order. Now they are the everyday with numerous ordering and delivery options for the hungry consumer, meaning no more lengthy queues but typically a much longer wait. These images reflect such a change with the shops either empty of customers or a lone figure waiting for their food.
